Not Her Best - Unless you want the complete Ferrick collection, I recommend skipping this one. Except for Hello Dad, Breaking Vows and the title track, the lyrics on Massive Blur are not her strongest. Some (For Once in My Life) are whiny. The percussion lines are repetitive and routine. The electric guitar does not showcase Ferrick s talent as well as the acoustic sounds of Willing to Wait or 70 People at 7000 Feet . The title of this CD is, unfortunately, apt - many of the cuts blur into one another. Save your money and catch one of Ferrick s consistently superb live performances instead.

5 Albums later, and still the best. - Massive Blur is truly a treasure. It has remained one of my favorite records for several years now, and it s truly her best music. That is not to say that Melissa Ferrick is a one hit wonder. Much of her later works are excellent, but I keep coming home to Massive Blur. Thought relatively unknown, Melissa brings a lot to the table with a creative and innovative debut album. With cynicism and soul, Melissa explores the singer/songwriter genre with a fresh outlook and a great sound. She blends in folk, rock, punk, even some metal-ish tones together to make something unique.I recommend this record for anyone who s a fan of music that steps out of the box. Choice tracks include Massive Blur, Ten Friends, Honest Eyes, Happy Song, Breaking Vows, and Hello Dad, but I like and listen to the full album. If you like Massive Blur, check out Melissa s Album Freedom. This is my second favorite from her, and another album I highly recommend.

Irish lilted spunky feminine music - This is an excellent album. It s a nice cross between Ani DiFranco and Sinead O Connor. It s fast-paced and the lyrics are intriguing. Every single track on the album is excellent, and my favorite was Honest Eyes. Humor, mixed with a small bit of anger and lots of genuine looking at life type of material. Of her three albums released so far, this is by far still my favorite. No disappointment in this purchase.
