One Of ME s Best! - I think this CD is one of Melissa s best. Secret Agent and Tuesday Morning are superb songs. Once again, ME proves to be a remarkable songwriter.
Etheridge s fans are LUCKY ONCE AGAIN. - Having been to two concerts,I was aware of Melissa Etheridge s vocal powere and the way she has of making every song feel like a wild part of one s own life. She explodes with passion and rage at times,as well as softness and tender feeling that I think anyone can relate to no matter what their social, gender, sexual, or spiritual background may be. An Etheridge show intoxicares the crowd for example, in the title song Lucky which quite fittingly mentions I SAW YOU THROUGH MY WILD INTOXICATION If memory serves. Melissa always stays on top of hsocially awareness game with songs like Tuesday Morning Which makes reference to the 9/11 tragedy. the dvd was surprisingly personal with footage of behind-the scenes goings on which includes Melissa and life partner Tammy shopping and an entire Day in the Life documentary and interview with Melissa herself. this should be part of any music fan s dvd/music collection of women rockers. Melissa is music s original angel!!
LOVE it!! - I love hearing where the songs and some of the lyrics come from and I love getting to know the artists behind the concert. In the special feature where Melissa and her band are commenting on the concert, I got more of where the songs/lyrics come from as well as some great insight into who each person is and how they work together so well. I actually watched the special feature FIRST before watching the actual concert. I gotta say, I don t know which I like better!!!
Lucky DVD - DVD came with in a week and was in very nice shape. Upon playing everything worked well. The DVD its self is a must have for any Melissa Etheridge fan out there. As usual the concert is awsome and there is bonus behind the scenes footage and an interview with Melissa. I highly recommend it!
Melissa keeps on Rockin - If you re a Melissa Etheridge fan this is an absolute MUST HAVE!! This DVD blew me away...over and over again! The concert footage is so perfect `cause you basically get to see Melissa in concert whenever you feel like popping in the dvd...in the comfort of your own home. There s no question she s an incredible talent...and her new CD is a testament to it. The concert has mostly her new music, so if you liked her new album, you re gonna LOVE this dvd....And if you re a fan of her older music, there s some of this for you to enjoy as well. And that s just the beginning! I ve never seen a dvd with such amazing extras. It comes with an A day in the life documentary, concert commentary, and an interview with Melissa. All these extras do the same for you as her music...they make you feel. I recommend this live dvd to everyone who listens to Melissa s music....whether religiously or here and there. ENJOY!!!!
